Perhaps you have spiritual experiences you want to understand, family patterns you are ready to stop repeating, or a clearer sense of who you are that you are still learning to live. You do not always need another general lesson. Sometimes you need space to ask your own questions and receive guidance that speaks to your life.

A focused month of private work

At Spiritual AU, Professor Melanie teaches the Temple Year of Return, a deeper journey through six areas of spiritual development that she calls Chambers. Four are available as individual months of private guidance: The Stars, The Bloodlines, Embodiment, and Union.

You can begin with one Chamber. Where further work is appropriate, you may complete up to three within a year. Professor Melanie guides you through them one at a time, giving each Chamber its own attention.

This work explores your maternal and paternal ancestry, inherited patterns, wounds, and gifts. Professor Melanie helps you look at what you want to stop carrying, what you want to change, and what wisdom and gifts you are meant to carry forward.

Embodiment

This Chamber focuses on bringing what you know into your body, relationships, routines, and decisions. The work is not to create another version of you. It is to practice living more authentically as yourself.

Union

Stop feeling that you have to leave part of yourself behind.

You may feel like one person in your spiritual life, another with family, and another at work. Union explores the inner divisions, conflicting loyalties, and expectations that keep you living in separate pieces. Professor Melanie guides you toward bringing your spiritual and everyday selves into one honest life, so connection with others does not require abandoning yourself.

What your private month includes

Four private sessions with Professor Melanie, spaced across your month.

  1. Opening Session

    You and Professor Melanie look at where you are, what you have been experiencing, and what you want to understand within your chosen Chamber.

  2. Personal Reading and Reflection

    An individual reading centered on your Chamber and the questions you bring, with time to reflect on it together. You also receive written guidance to keep.

  3. Private Teaching

    Focused teaching within your Chamber, applied directly to your own life, patterns, and relationships.

  4. Closing Integration

    You review what has surfaced, bring your remaining questions, and consider how to carry the work forward.

The guidance is personal. Professor Melanie makes room for your questions and looks at how the work applies to the experiences and choices in your own life.

About Professor Melanie

Professor Melanie is a former college professor, linguist, published author, and the founder of Spiritual AU. She holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Africana Studies and Spanish from Rutgers University and a master’s degree in Education. She completed doctoral coursework in Linguistics and studied anthropology at the University of Guadalajara.

Tuition and availability

One Chamber:

$2,500

for one month, including four private sessions.

Two Chambers:

$5,000

for two months, including eight private sessions.

Three Chambers:

$7,500

for three months, including twelve private sessions.

You do not need to commit to three Chambers to begin. Each Chamber is paid in full before that month of work starts.

Professor Melanie works with only one or two Private Chamber students at a time.

An available start month and the enrollment details will be confirmed with you before payment. Submitting a request does not automatically enroll you or reserve a place.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to complete the Temple Year of Return first?

No. A Private Chamber is open to everyone, and you do not need to complete the Temple Year of Return or any other program first. Each Private Chamber stands on its own.

What if I am not sure which Chamber is right for me?

Say so in your request. Professor Melanie will review what you share and suggest where to begin.

How are the sessions held?

Each session is held by Zoom. Sessions are planned for about an hour and run as long as needed for your questions. If you need to reschedule, contact info@spiritualau.com.

How soon will I hear back?

Within 48 hours. Professor Melanie personally reviews every request.

When does my month begin?

Your start month is confirmed with you before any payment. Professor Melanie works with only one or two Private Chamber students at a time, so available months can fill.

Can I work through more than one Chamber?

Yes. Where further work is appropriate, you may complete up to three Chambers within a year, one month at a time. Each Chamber is paid in full before that month begins.

How is this different from the Temple Year of Return?

The Temple Year of Return is a yearlong journey through all six Chambers. A Private Chamber is one month of private work with Professor Melanie in one of four Chambers: The Stars, The Bloodlines, Embodiment, or Union. It is a contained way to receive private mentorship from Professor Melanie, focused on the Chamber you choose.

How to begin

  1. Choose your Chamber

    Tell Professor Melanie which Chamber speaks to you and what you would like to explore. A few thoughtful sentences are enough. If you are unsure which Chamber is right for you, simply say so.

  2. Receive a personal response

    Professor Melanie personally reviews every request. If the work is a good fit, our Client Care team will contact you within 48 hours with your proposed start month, tuition, and payment deadline.

  3. Reserve your private month

    Your place is confirmed once tuition is paid in full. Your month is then prepared around your Chamber and your questions.

No payment is due until your start month is confirmed.
